I am a professionally registered Humanistic Counsellor (MBACP) with a broad experience working with adults and young people. I provide a supportive space which will enable you to share difficult experiences and to look more closely at any issues you are facing.
You may be struggling with a difficult experience and need support in order to fully process or understand your emotions; you may be confused or stuck and not be able to see a way forward; you may feel ready to change but are finding it too difficult and unsettling to leave a well trodden and familiar path.
We will work together to understand your own responses to the world around you and why you may be feeling stuck or overwhelmed. With the support of counselling you will be able to recognise and explore deeper responses and feelings towards aspects of your life such as relationships, family and career.
My approach is to help you make choices and decisions that align with your values in the belief that beneath the confusion you can come to your own decisions and gain greater contentment or meaning in your experiences.
I work in a way that supports you to safely express what you need to. Alongside ‘talk therapy’ I may use art, symbols, imagery and body awareness to enhance the experience you bring, this will be guided by your needs.
I am happy to work both short term and longer term with clients depending on the issue and requirements.
