I offer a free initial 30 min consultation by either ‘phone or Zoom to tune in and assess whether working together feels right.
I warmly welcome a wide range of clients. I am an experienced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and also a Buddhist practitioner with experience of meditation and mindfulness practices. I offer a soulful, safe and supportive space for you to bring your distress, to explore your life, relationships, values and hopes for the future. I welcome you if you feel in crisis, have or are experiencing trauma or are grappling with issues or decisions that you simply can’t find a way through alone. I meet everyone as a unique individual whose needs and aspirations determine the approach we take. I work with sub-personalities, dreams and the body and where appropriate, I use imagery, drawing, mark making and a basket of natural objects to work deeply, broadening the therapeutic experience beyond words.
I believe the relationship we form is healing and central to the work. I invite the exploration of how we relate not only outside of the therapy room but also inside. Our wellbeing depends on the quality of the relationships that we create, and my focus allows us to explore this dimension. I provide deep, attentive listening and appropriate challenge to help facilitate our connection.
As well as offering my private practice at the Wilbury Clinic, I work as a Counsellor for a respected and innovative London based charity that uses a community-based and trauma informed approach to address the life-threatening effects of childhood adversity in people of all ages.
