Working with a professional therapist is a courageous step into the unknown, and a powerful way to embark on a therapeutic process together. I believe that authenticity is a key ingredient in the therapeutic relationship, and that there is deeper meaning and purpose in our symptoms and struggles. I will accompany you on your unique, creative journey of growth and transformation with deep respect and compassion.
I offer both short term and long term therapy. Short term work focuses on the here and now, to strengthen how you are coping and support you with more immediate issues. Long/er term work enables us to explore where the themes and patterns you have been struggling with may have come from. Here we can creatively work together towards integrating these; for example, through focusing on the mind-body connection, using imagery, drawing, chair work or bilateral stimulation (EMDR). This is to enable you to feel more present and connected with your life now, and your onward journey.
When we work together, you will benefit from my wealth of clinical experience and training that I draw on to best support you in your process.
I have over 13 years of specialist experience in the NHS, where I worked with adults of all ages. Many suffered with the impact of trauma, other troubling symptoms and physical health conditions including persistent pain, cancer or renal failure, often with difficult experiences growing up.
